REGISTERING FOR THE TROPHY
What bikes can enter the Trofeo?
Only the Moto Guzzi V7 III motorbikes, equipped with the dedicated kit as per the regulation, is admitted for entry to the Trofeo. If you participate with a V7 III Racer or Special, you must equip your motorbike with the V7 III Stone wheels.
How can I register for the Trofeo?
Simply fill out the registration form on the FMI site. Registration is made as a “team”, understood to mean a two-rider squad.
When does the registration period close?
Registration for the entire championship will be open until 31 March. You can register for individual races up until 15 days prior to the race in which you intend to participate.
How much does it cost to register for the Trofeo?
The registration fee is 1250 € per team for the entire trophy, or 350 € per team for registration to a single race.
What are the requirements for participation in the Trofeo?
All you need is a Track racing licence (or an Off-road licence with Track extension) as issued by the FMI. All the information (in Italian language only) about racing licences is available on the FMI website.
Is it possible to compete in only certain races?
Yes, by registering for a single race, at a cost of 350 € per team.
The Trofeo is already underway, can I still register?
Registration for the entire championship is only open until 31 March 2019. After this date, you can only register for single races.
Is there a discount for participation in just one race or only certain races?
No, the registration cost for a single race is 350 € per team; registration for the whole championship comes at a discounted cost of 1250 € per team (equating to 250 € per race per team)
Is personal insurance included in the registration fee?
Yes, insurance is included. Check the terms on the FMI website.
Can I name my team?
Of course! Use your imagination and select the name that best describes your team.
If I cannot participate (for any reason), will I be refunded?
No reimbursement is envisaged if a team withdraws from a race or races. If an individual rider withdraws, he/she can be replaced up until one hour before the start of the race.
RACE ORGANISATION
When will the Trofeo run?
The Trofeo comprises 5 events, taking place between April and October 2019 at five different Italian racetracks.
Where will Trofeo races take place?
The dates and circuits are as follows:
race 1 > 14 April - Varano (Parma, Italy)
race 2 > 19 May - Vallelunga (Rome, Italy)
race 3 > 23 June - Magione (Perugia, Italy)
race 4 > 1 September - Adria (Rovigo, Italy)
race 5 > 13 October - Misano (Rimini, Italy)
How is a race organised?
The race, lasting 60 minutes, sees two riders alternate on the bike. Each rider can ride for no more than 15 minutes + 2 consecutive laps: this means that the race is action-packed, with at least three rider changeovers taking place in pit lane. The start is of the “Le Mans” type, or rather with the bikes lined up on one side of the track with riders crossing the track to climb on board and start the race.
How is a race weekend organised?
Each event includes two timed practice sessions on Saturday, each lasting 20 minutes for each rider. The race takes place on a Sunday, and lasts 60 minutes.
Is it possible to take part in the race alone, and not the practice?
No, riders must have completed at least 3 laps and have recorded at least one lap time during practice in order to be able to take part in the race.
Can a team line-up be changed during the Trofeo?

Is personal insurance included in the registration fee?
Yes, insurance is included. Check the terms on the FMI website.
Will races be postponed or rescheduled in case of rain?
No, the bike and tyres are suitable for racing in the wet. Any changes to the schedule are made by the Race Director in case of any particular situation regarding safety.
What clothing is required for participation in the Trofeo?
Full racing gear is required, or rather leathers, boots, gloves and homologated helmet. Further details can be found on the FMI website.
The kit
What does the kit comprise?
The kit includes functional and aesthetic components such as suspension, an exhaust system, a semi-handlebar, a top fairing, side fairings, a single seat, number holders and other details.
Where can I buy the kit?
The kit can be purchased at your local Moto Guzzi dealership or directly from Guareschi Moto, which develops the kits.
How much does the kit cost?
The kit costs 3300 € + VAT.
What benefits does the Kit offer the bike?
The kit makes the bike more suitable for track use.
Is the cost of assembly at an authorised workshop included in the kit cost?
No, the kit cost does not include assembly. Assembly can be carried out autonomously by the team registered for the Trofeo or managed by the Moto Guzzi sales network.
My bike already has various accessories, is it possible to buy only part of the kit?
No, the bike must mount all of the kit's components as indicated in the technical regulation.
Is it possible to buy the bike with the kit already mounted?
Yes, it is possible to ask your Moto Guzzi dealer to fit the purchased bike with the dedicated Trofeo kit.
How much does it cost to buy the bike and kit combined? Does it work out cheaper than the list price?
Teams registered for the Trofeo Moto Guzzi benefit from exclusive advantages when purchasing the bike with which they will compete in the Trofeo: refer to your local Moto Guzzi dealer for details.
Does the bike lose its road homologation with the kit?
Yes, in that the Trofeo kit includes components that are solely for track use.
Is it possible to restore the bike to its original condition after the Trofeo?
Yes, it is possible to restore the bike to its original state, homologated for road use.
Can we personalise the bike with decals and stickers?
Yes, you can, respecting the instructions laid out in the regulation.
